WDYWT 30/11/11

So, yesterday I was looking for new sneakers from the net which is what I normally do on a daily basis lol. Anyways, I was looking for performance shoes with mostly a black upper, a simple clean look since all my sneakers have flashy dominant colors. I was spotting this zoom kobe 4 on sulit and it was the del sol colorway, the one that was an exclusive asia release I think. It was the one that had a white midsole. The dude was selling it higher than retail and I dont think its practical to buy a pair of kobes 2 models back since the 7s are already coming out soon. But I had a thing for kobe 4s since it had a snug fit and had WAY better traction unlike my zk5 dark knights which gave me blisters and slippage all the friggin time I used them on court. (Yes the reviews are true, the zk5's give you blisters mostly on the toe) BUT, the thing is, the zk4's have an inferior cushioning setup because of the lunar foam which bottoms out easily so i decided to pass on them...for now. Then I saw the KD4 blackouts and decided to cop a pair only to find out that it didnt have any cushioning setup for the heel. Its just like a mid-top hyperfuse imo so I passed.

I forgot to mention that I could have ANY item discounted up to 50% in Nike Park retailers. I just had to redeem my citibank points. YES citibank credit card holders, you can avail of discounts up to 50% only if you redeem your citipoints. 6 citipoints : PHP1.00. So Y U no avail of useful discounts? In my case, my generous and kind mom, after bugging her after dinner agreed to give me her citipoints since I needed sneakers because I had a game in Merville and I left mine at home. So we rushed to the mall, got a size 10.5, used half of my moms citipoints (around 19k points) and got these babies only for 3,200.00 pezowseszes. How KEWL is that? lol. I wrote a little performance review at the bottom for the 2011 Hyperdunks based on my experience.

I chose hyperdunks because the reviews I read said that It was best suited for multiple positions. I play 2-3 and sometimes power forward. I have been bugged by knee problems and shin splints thats why I didnt need a shoe that had mediocre cushioning. I was playing in lebron 8 v2's before I played in the Hyperdunk 2011's and we all know how great the cushioning for the lebron 8s are.

After breaking in my hyperdunks, I felt that it was a little more higher off the ground compared to my HD 08 lows which was a bummer but the cushioning was good with the zoom air in the heel and the forefoot (full length). It also didn't sacrifice responsiveness since the lebrons are not responsive....at all. Overall I was happy with the HD 2011's performance and the price I got it at. :) Best performance shoe out there imo. Its like youre riding in a damn high ended sports car.
